ABOUT ST. JOHN

The U.S. Virgin Islands are an American territory, English-speaking, using the U.S. dollar, and offering many choices in terms of activities and fabulous restaurants. The Virgin Islands archipelago encompasses the three U.S. Virgins-St. Croix, St. John, St. Thomas, and numerous islands as part of the British Virgin Islands (BVIs) are in very close proximity to the USVI.

St. John is a beautiful hidden gem in the Caribbean. Caribbean travelers call it the most beautiful island in the Caribbean, and no one who visits can fail to be struck by the beauty of it and the friendliness of its inhabitants, whose green hills and turquoise waters are intertwined into the Virgin Islands National Park, a treasure on earth.

Generally, the islands are small and closely spaced, making it easy to hop from one to another. St. Thomas has good airline connections and is home to Charlotte Amalie, the capital, a popular cruise ship port. The most populous island, St. Croix, has a distinct feel, with varied colonial architecture and rum distilleries to tour.

Getting to St. John: Fly into St. Thomas, USVI airport (STT)

Passenger and Car Ferry: Catch the passenger ferry hourly on the hour from Red Hook on the east end of St. Thomas (a 30 to 45-minute taxi ride from the airport) or the ferry from Charlotte Amalie (near the airport but much less frequent). Car ferries can take you and your car every 2 hours if desired. The ferry dock in St. John is in the center of town in Cruz Bay.

Geography: St. John has many beaches, one voted as the #1 beach in the world, Trunk Bay. We have exciting snorkeling, enjoyable and relaxing hiking trails, plantation ruins, and coral reefs full of life. More than half of the island's area has been protected by the U.S. National Park Service. Rising steeply and quickly from the shore, St. John's ridges climax in three peaks of 1,100 to 1,200 ft. There are over 800 species of plants. More than 160 species of birds have been recorded in and around the park and over 25 nests on the island. Pretty spectacular.

Climate: The weather is very pleasantly tropical, year-round. Afternoon average temperatures range from 82F in January to 88F in August and September. The average annual low is 74F. Monthly rainfall averages 1.6 inches (February) to 5.8 inches (September)

You will need a passport to visit the British Virgin Islands, which you may want to do, so we highly recommend having a Passport with you. When departing the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Immigration requires all persons, including Americans, to provide proof of citizenship. This can include a passport or a certified copy of a birth certificate with a photo I.D. Please bring ID for children.

St. John's economy is thriving. Construction is all over the island including Ditleff Point. We appreciate your understanding of where construction exists. Any construction and the possibility of new construction and noise are outside the control of Villa Cin Cin.

Paradise Found on Ditleff Point Luxury and perfection = Villa Cin Cin!! A 10 star property!! We had the most delightful vacation with our 13 children and grandchildren and hated to leave! Villa Cin Cin is so impressive with its 5 master bedrooms with each having the most comfortable bed ever! 5 of the 7 baths had both an indoor and outdoor shower. Fun under the sensational stars! Each had a private veranda. We were enthralled with the magical sun rises and sunsets from every room! I was in amazement as I kept exploring and finding so many incredible features and even two laundry rooms. The design layout, Restoration Hardware furnishings, beautiful architecture, dazzling infinity pool, hot tub , fun game room and huge outdoor veranda with the bar were some of the outstanding features that we all loved! The attention to every detail was overwhelming! I can't even imagine finding a Villa on St John that even compares! We had a private beach with excellent snorkeling only a short walk away. We stood in the pool overlooking Cruz Bay and watched the kids play on the beach. I really cannot say enough wonderful words about this gorgeous NEW villa! We will definitely be back! The owner, beautiful sweet Christina Fano walked us through the reservation process and was so patient and kind the whole way! Cin Cin is the only real luxury villa on St. John. Many villas will say they are luxury, but I promise you that NOTHING compares to Cin Cin. We read about Town and Country Magazine rating, and we decided to stay on land at this spectacular villa for our second week in St. John after a week on our chartered yacht. We have stayed at the Ritz in St. Thomas and homes on Peter Bay over the years but this house blows them all away in terms of luxury, comfort, views, quietness, and sandy beach. This beach has a reef just yards away from the beach. There was not one day where we did not have the beach all to ourselves and saw multiple turtles, spotted eagle rays, and tons of fish. We barely went to the north shore. If you want the best, most exclusive villa close to the restaurants, with the most luxury, Villa Cin Cin is it. The staff gave us privacy and were extremely hospitable. The owners were so attentive from the first moment I called to inquire to the end of our stay. We ADORED our stay at Villa Cin Cin! Look no further for the perfect place to host your next family trip or friends getaway in paradise. Everything about this villa is amazing from the bedrooms to the outdoor showers (!) to the kitchen area (that had everything you could ever need) and then of course the infinity pool where we spent most of our time. My wife and I had been to St. John's many times before and thought it would be a good idea to celebrate my 60th birthday by sharing this special island with our four children and significant others and my grandson. Cin Cin exceeded our expectations, the location of the home in the gated community of Ditleff Point allows for 360 degree water views, with stunning sunsets and sundowns and all day sun in pool area. The layout of the home, design, furnishings are A++- this home should be featured in Architectural Design Magazine. Additionally, having a private beach steps away where we had paddle boards and kayaks and great snorkeling put this place over the top. We had a private chef prepare a couple of dinners which allowed us to enjoy the evenings under the stars- the home also has an amazing observation deck where we would sit after dinner to take in the Milky Way.
